After the site is live

A live URL is the start of Operate, not the end of the factory. Confirm the production receipt, submit search evidence you actually own, turn on first-party events, and only then decide whether the next change is copy, links, a new page, or a pause.

Confirm the production receipt

Open Launch and check the approved version, production URL, smoke result, and rollback pointer. If any of those is missing, the site is not fully launched even if a domain resolves.

Studio Release view with production live, no unpublished changes, and checks for the next release.
Launch assembles readiness after source exists. The live version stays separate from the next candidate.

Submit search evidence

Verify robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and IndexNow first. Then record the submissions you are allowed to make. IndexNow can run from Shipsite. Google Search Console still needs the connected account to own the property.

  1. Open the live robots and sitemapConfirm they allow the indexable routes and exclude /app and /api.
  2. Submit IndexNowUse Launch → search cold start when the production URL is recorded.
  3. Verify GSC or Bing yourselfShipsite prepares the pack. Ownership stays with the connected account.

Measure before you iterate

First-party events work without GA4. Connect analytics when you need search or behavior evidence. A review verdict must name the window and the missing sources. Do not treat an empty dashboard as zero traffic.
